Things to Think About

The Truth and Only the Truth So Help the Dogs

Rules to think about when owning a pet.

Think Mentally

Think before you get a dog. Call me and talk to me to see if that dog is a good fit for you and your family.

Think Physically

Make sure you are fit enough to handle the dog. Dogs get large and powerful. Getting dogs that are only going to be 25% of your weight and your partners weight is a good idea. As we get older, dogs can do lots of damage to our own bodies and theirs. Make sure to use proper handling equipment when working with your dog.

Think Financial

Dogs can be a great joy or a burden. Training dogs at an early age is the least expensive way to go and will make everyone in the family much happier and safer. I drink a lot of coffee. We all have vices. I figured out that if I bought just one less cup of coffee a day for the life of a dog (~14 years), I could have paid for a dog to be professional trained more than three times. Crazy isn't it? It doesn't mean I have to stop drinking coffee but it sure would be nice to have a wonderfully trained and happy household.

Think Safety

Dogs depend on you for guidance and safety for a great life. They are not a disposable item. Just because you didn't think it through. They can be your worst nightmare or your best companion for life.
